Valentine's Day Project

Valentine’s Day Project
For Valentine’s Day our class is doing a project where we paint pillowcases to donate to the children’s cancer center at UK. Please spread the word amongst your co-workers and friends. To donate you can bring things to our classroom or go to www.donorschoose.org

Below is part of the proposal:
My Project: My students will learn lessons that are hard to teach in school, yet just as important to learn - empathy, compassion, caring, appreciation and love. They will decorate pillowcases with their words, drawings and creativity in order to share a smile with another, less fortunate child.
This project has the potential to change the lives of not only the students in my classroom, but also the children who are learning to fight and live with cancer. I bet neither set of students forgets this experience.
My students need pillowcases and fabric paint to decorate for children who are receiving treatment at a cancer clinic in our community.
