Week in Review
I must begin by saying I am so super proud of all my students who took the time and effort necessary to do well on their Weekly Vocabulary Quiz! We will be doing this each week in order to experience new words and hopefully move them into our working vocabularies. This means we will be utilizing these new words as we write and speak!
I want to remind ALL STUDENTS to bring their library books to class with them everyday! It is important that you select "Just Right Books" when you are in the Library. Books which are not too hard or too easy! This is the only way you will become a better reader. I'd love to see all my students in chapter books by the end of September.
Homework, Planners and Reading Logs are a MUST everyday! We give you homework so you may practice the skills you are learning during the day and thus will hopefully become better at applying those skills. I promise we aren't just wasting your time or being mean. Homework, Planners and Reading Logs teach you the RESPONSIBILITY you will need to become a successful adult.
Remember to write down the names of ALL the books you read or have read to you on your Reading Log. This way I can see what books you are reading and you can take AR Quizzes over all those books! Don't leave any out! Ms. Scully and Ms. Decker both read aloud to you during school. These are easy...(cheating)...AR points to get! :)
Thank you for being the most awesome group of 4th graders I have ever had the pleasure to teach!
